JAMARAM: It is hard to say for how many bright faces JAMARAM can be accredited for within the previous 20 years of performing live on stage. With approx. 100 shows a year, the number of singing mouths and dancing legs in the audience probably ranges into the hundreds of thousands. Having toured halfway around the world and despite, or maybe because of their longevity, the Munich-based band is far from retiring and only getting started.
Finally, in celebration of their 20th anniversary, JAMARAM present a collection of their finest live performances put together on a long-awaited live album. “20 Years Live” contains live recordings of 16 of their most celebrated songs of all time and transports the ecstasy of tour highlights from 2018 and 2019 directly into our living rooms. On top, amidst evergreens like “Rainmaker”, “La Famille”, or “Come Around”, the so far unreleased up-tempo Ska tune and latest single “Cats Come Out” rounds out the album.
JAHCOUSTIX: With his eighth album “Reunion” (Dominik Haas aka) Jahcoustix literally reunites with the Reggae Music companions from his early days. His first two albums “Souljahstice” and “Grounded” were also recorded with Oneness Records Producer and current Dub Inc. bass player Moritz v. Korff and Oneness sound wizard Umberto Echo, with both of whom Jahcoustix spent innumerable hours in the tour bus during the dawn of the new millennium.
After years of infrequent contact and selection collaborations, in 2018 the time has come to start working on a bigger project, whose result is truly impressive.
Ten brand new songs on mostly unpublished Oneness Riddims as well as tracks exclusively produced for the album captivate the listener at all levels. In terms of lyrics and songwriting, Jahcoustix definitely reached a new peak.
